Important Notices

TAX BILLS

 

Tax bills are in the process of being prepared and should be mailed out in the next couple of weeks.  The grace period for the 2014 3rd quarter payment due August 1st will be extended and reflected on the tax bill. 

ROAD WORK/CLOSURES

 

Road work will begin approximately July 8, 2014 on John Hancock Way and Craig Drive with paving scheduled for approximately July 16, 2014.

 

Road work will begin approximately July 16, 2014 on Moran and Craig Drives with paving scheduled for approximately July 25, 2014.

TOWNSHIP REVALUATION NEWS

 

In response to the order of the Burlington County Board of Taxation, the Township of Springfield has completed a total revaluation of all real property located within the Township. The revaluation has been approved by the Director, Division of Taxation for the State of New Jersey, and the Burlington County Board of Taxation. New Jersey real estate taxation law mandates that all real property be assessed at 100% of market value in order to ensure an equitable distribution of real estate taxes. The revaluation will take effect in 2014.

 

PROPERTY ASSESSMENT CARDS

 

 The green property assessment cards were mailed out in March 2014 and are informational in nature and should not be used for income tax purposes.  The annual tax bill which was mailed out in July of 2013 is for billing purposes and is the accurate accounting of the amount of taxes  paid on a property during the year.
