The police department is loacted in the rear of the municipal building. Twelve police officers and a Chief of Police ensure every day that there is law and order in Springfield.

Tax bills will be mailed out on Friday, July 31, 2015. The grace period for the 3rd quarter, which is due on August 1st, will be extended until August 26, 2015. Any payments received after the August 26th extension date will be subject to interest charges back to the August 1st due date.
IMPORTANT TAX COLLECTOR'S OFFICE CHANGES
Springfield Township has recently entered into a shared services with Southampton for tax collection. The tax collector will be available every Wednesday from 9 am to 4 pm and during each tax quarter on the 1st of the month in February, May, August and November and the four business days preceeding. You may reach the tax collector either by email at taxcollector@
springfieldtownshipnj.org or by telephone at 609-723-2464 ext. 14 or 609-859-3232. Payments can still be made at anytime by using the drop box at the curb in the front of the building or to another Township employee. Please be sure if making your payment that you have your check made out and the stub attached and if you would like your bill stamped received, have the bill out and ready to be stamped. This allows for a more efficient and quicker process and does not unnecessarily delay other customers.
