TOWNSHIP REVALUATION NEWS
In response to the order of the Burlington County Board of Taxation, the Township of Springfield has completed a total revaluation of all real property located within the Township. The revaluation has been approved by the Director, Division of Taxation for the State of New Jersey, and the Burlington County Board of Taxation. New Jersey real estate taxation law mandates that all real property be assessed at 100% of market value in order to ensure an equitable distribution of real estate taxes. The revaluation will take effect in 2014.
PROPERTY ASSESSMENT CARDS
The green property assessment cards were mailed out in March 2014 and are informational in nature and should not be used for income tax purposes. The annual tax bill which was mailed out in July of 2013 is for billing purposes and is the accurate accounting of the amount of taxes paid on a property during the year.

URGRENT INFORMATION REGARDING BLUE RECYCLING CARTS
Please be advised that the County is in the process of launching "Single Stream" recycling and once implemented all cardboard, bottles and cans will go into the wheeled blue carts. The County is offering a FREE additional bucket to all households in the County. If you have not already ordered your FREE additional bucket email: firstname.lastname@example.org or call: 609-499-1001 for order information no later than JUNE 30, 2014. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT AFTER THE JUNE 30, 2014 DEADLINE RESIDENTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY FOR ADDITIONAL RECYCLING CARTS.
