Trash Collection Information

BULK ITEMS: Bulk items such mattresses, box springs and cushions, etc. that are soiled should be bagged or covered in plastic. 

METAL APPLIANCES

Please be advised that metal appliances can not be picked up by the trash contractor as part of normal trash collection and it is the resident's responsibility to dispose of such items.  For more information you can contact 609-499-1001 or see under the Recycling tab for additional recycling information.

BRUSH/LEAVES

Please be advised that brush and leaves can not be picked up by the trash contractor as part of normal trash collection and it is the resident's responsibility to dispose of such items.

Absolutely NO POOL CHEMICALS (containers, bags, etc.) are permissible for disposal, as this is an extreme HAZARDOUS MATERIAL.

 

Burlington County residents are able to bring their empty chemical containers to the Burlington County Resource Center located 22000 Burlington-Columbus Rd,Florence, NJ 08518 at no cost to Burlington Co. residents.
 

 

RECLINER SOFA/CHAIR AND SLEEPER SOFA DISPOSAL

 

Please take note that the above items are considered recycle material and the following information is how the municipal trash contractor is able to help  residents dispose of such items. All metal must be removed from the item/items before their collection day. The recliner usually has 2 bolts on either side of the recliner chair. The footer section of the recliner can be placed on top of the seat and placed out at the curbside for regular collection. Sleeper couches/sofas must have the metal bedding removed from sofa and only the sofa may be place out for regular collection. The metal insert is a recyclable item and cannot be pick up as a regular household bulk item.  The metal material can be disposed of at the Bulington County Resource Recovery Complex located at 22000 Columbus Rd, Mansfield, NJ  08022 / 609-499-5300.

 

CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL

Minor construction material must be broken down into 3'-4' lengths, tied or bundled with twine and a reasonable amount at time of collection.  Any large sheets of wood must be cut into 4x4 sections for proper handling and all nails/screws must be removed for safety issues.  Any large wood debris must not be placed in trash cans for disposal. Smaller wood debris/scraps are to be placed in trash cans for disposal, however, all nails/screws must be removed from these items as well.
